Welcome, new or returning PVR member:
On behalf of the Potomac Vintage riders, I want to thank you for becoming a member or renewing your membership. 2024 looks to be another exciting year for vintage racing and other vintage related events.
PVR was founded in 1999 by a small group of enthusiasts with a goal of supporting vintage motorcycling in the Mid-Atlantic area. PVR is an AMA-chartered organization that has grown to become one of the more active vintage clubs in the country.
PVR sponsors several race series in the Mid-Atlantic region. They sponsor the AHRMA Mid-Atlantic cross country and motocross series, the AHRMA Mid-Atlantic Vintage Trials, (MAVT) and the American Classic Racing MX (ACRMX) series. We also work with Mid-Atlantic Vintage Bikes at the Broom Factory for several other events. PVR sponsors MA-NE AHRMA MX and XC awards banquet in York, PA each year.
The PVR York Swap Meet is our premier event and has grown to be one of the largest indoor vintage motorcycle swap meets in the country. This event, held annually in York PA, includes a vintage bike show that has grown in size and quality into a destination event all by itself!
Quarterly business meetings are usually scheduled in the Frederick, MD area. The meetings give members the opportunity to socialize and participate in some bench racing. This group of enthusiasts works hard to ensure the club provides opportunities to members. Please consider volunteering at one or more events. It is a great way to meet folks who have the same interests as you! Make sure you take a look at our website where you will find links to our Facebook page to keep track of upcoming events. PVR no longer sends out a membership card and your membership runs from January to December. Though your membership is a valuable way to support PVR, we also encourage you to get actively involved in club activities. The club would not exist without a cadre of dedicated volunteers. We are delighted to have you as a member.
